How the Ordering Process Works
The ordering process moves a design from artwork to delivered patch in five defined steps. Each step depends on the one before it, and the sequence never changes.
- Send your artwork. Customers supply a vector file, a JPEG or a hand-drawn sketch, together with a target size and quantity. Our design team accepts artwork in any of these formats and prepares it for moulding.
- Receive your quotation. The quotation covers mould engraving, production, backing and UK delivery in a single price. Pricing is quoted in GBP and excludes VAT at 20%.
- Approve the digital proof. The design team returns a digital proof that marks the Pantone reference for every colour and confirms the dimensions. Proof approval locks the design, because the next step cuts that design into metal. - Production begins. Engineers engrave the approved design into a metal mould, pour liquid PVC one colour at a time, cure the polymer under heat, and apply the chosen backing. Quality control inspects every batch against the approved proof. The full sequence is set out in how PVC patches are made.
- Delivery. Finished patches despatch tracked to a UK or BFPO address once inspection passes.

What to Prepare Before You Order
Preparation shortens turnaround and prevents proof revisions. Three decisions matter before you send an enquiry: the artwork, the size and shape, and the backing.
Artwork You Can Supply
Artwork reaches the design team as a vector file, a raster image or a sketch. Vector files reproduce fine detail most accurately, but our team converts flat images and drawings into production-ready layouts as well. Choosing Size and Shape
PVC patches are produced between 25mm and 200mm. Size is measured as the average of width and height, which is the convention UK suppliers quote against. Standard shapes include round, square, rectangular, oval and shield, and custom die-cut shapes follow the outline of your artwork at no extra tooling cost. Choosing a Backing
Backing determines how the patch attaches to a garment or piece of gear. Four backing types are available: hook-and-loop (velcro), sew-on, 3M adhesive and plain. Minimum Order Quantity

Samples Before a Full Run
Samples let you check relief, colour accuracy and backing before the full quantity is produced. A sample reproduces the approved design at production quality, so what you approve is what you receive. Request one through order a sample first.
How PVC Patch Pricing Works
Four factors set the price of a custom PVC patch: size, relief, colour count and backing. Larger patches use more material, 3D moulds are deeper than 2D moulds, each colour occupies a separate mould recess, and hook-and-loop and adhesive backings add cost over plain. VAT and Invoicing
Prices are quoted in pounds sterling and exclude VAT at 20%. Invoices show the net price, the VAT line and the gross total separately. Invoicing terms for businesses and trade accounts are set out on VAT and invoicing.

BFPO delivery is accepted for serving personnel. British Forces Post Office addresses receive the same tracked service as UK mainland orders.

Reorders and Mould Storage
Reorders cost less than the first order. The metal mould is retained after the first run, so a repeat order requires no re-engraving.
